CCMJ Members Area Introduction to the Christian Council of Monetary Justice's Members Area

This area of the CCMJ website is being relaunched in 2016 in response to requests at the 2015 Annual Appraisal for ways to enable more participation by members.

Continuing on from the original website, a new site based on wordpress (in process of revision) will hopefully enable us provide facilities for members to upload their own papers. We are also re-launching an interactive [CCMJ] email list for members to broadcast their own messages direct to members. Both of these facilities will need careful moderation, as will this area of the website, and hopefully this can be shared by those who are elected at the next AGM.

This Members Area uses software originally designed for Local Exchange Trading Schemes in order to provide a platform for documents (see Inside Pages) and a List of Members which are only viewable when logged in. The Offerings, Requests, and Transactions pages are also available, in case they are found to be useful, because what we want to encourage members to do is to participate wherever you are in the UK, or indeed in the world, and for thos who are adventurous, they may be found to be useful tools.

For many years Rev Canon Peter Challen has hosted a weekly lunch-time drop-in which came to be known as the London Global Open Table (LGOT). The last meeting is scheduled for Wednesday 20th July 2016 at 12 noon. Our hope is that inspired by Peter's ongoing distribution of Matters in the Air, local discussions may continue at Local Global Open Tables. The dates of future events, whether one-off or regular, can be advertised as an Offering, and messages can be sent to members nearby - the Local Exchange system enables all this to be done on a self-help basis. We eagerly await feedback to
