Tis the season to be jolly…

…or it would be if today’s politics weren’t so polarized and highly charged, and the world didn’t feel like it was falling apart.

At Simpol, we’re trying to be of good cheer, focusing on a way to meet the world with solutions that reconcile, that heal, and that forgive.

We see people on the political right wanting less immigration, trying to safeguard their sense of national and cultural identity. We see those on the political left wanting an end to wealth inequality and environmental destruction. We see Simpol bridging the gap between them.

Only global cooperation can end the wars and desperate economic circumstances that drive people to migrate against their will. Only global cooperation can deliver global taxes on financial markets and multi-national corporations so that wealth is redistributed to the nations that need it, leading their economies to grow, allowing their citizens to make a living at home, and so safeguard the national cultural identities of all nations, north and south.

Only global cooperation and simultaneous implementation can deliver regulations on emissions that don’t risk businesses and jobs moving elsewhere.

Only Simpol can reconcile the legitimate concerns of both Right and Left.

That’s what Simpol, with your help, aims to deliver.

At this time of desperate short-sightedness and division in the world, we need Simpol’s healing message more than ever.

This festive season, we hope you will join us in telling your friends, colleagues or any NGOs that you’re involved in that there is a solution that reconciles. Or better still, give them the gift of the book The Simpol Solution.

From all of us at Simpol, thank you for your support and we wish you and your family season’s greetings and much happiness at this special time.

Until next time,

Alex, John and the Simpol team

If you’ve been to Geneva or Dubrovnik recently, you may have spotted our founder John Bunzl bringing the Simpol message to meetings near you.

First at the Geneva Centre for Security Policy’s conference on Democracy in the Digital Age. You can find a full write-up of the meeting here.

It was then off to Dubrovnik for a Roundtable on Global Governance for the World Academy of Art & Science.

If you’d like to arrange for someone from Simpol to speak at an event you’re hosting. please do email us via info@simpol.org.

When end of the month problems stop you from considering the end of the world

Since 17 November, many people have been blocking the roads throughout France. But are the Yellow Vests protests a symptom of a French flu, or a more global cancer? National Coordinator for France Nic Saunier has been getting to grips with the protest, the reasons behind it, and the ways forward. Have a read and let us know what you think.

Will EU answer the call?

2019 is going to be a big year for Simpol. With the EU elections on the horizon, we need supporters in Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands and in other EU countries to help us campaign to get candidates standing for the EU Parliament signed up to Simpol.

If you have some time to spare and would like to help, please email us at info@simpol.org.

Simpol at the US Midterms

Simpol US stands proud having secured six pledges from candidates in the midterm elections!

If you are reading this in the US, chances are you are one of our 753 US Simpol supporters. We have plans for 2019 to spread the Simpol message and massively increase our numbers, all in preparation for 2020, but we need your help to do it.

Our recent pledges were accomplished through endless hours of dedicated work by 4 volunteers and our  founder John Bunzl. If you have expertise in mass mailing, graphic design, social media communication or no skill at all but a great passionate energy for saving the world, please contact our US National Coordinator Jaki via jaki@fiftyfab.com.

Could the fate of humanity rest in the hands of just one hundred and twenty human beings – the members of the New Zealand Parliament?
We recommend getting a copy of Hugh Steadman’s new book to find out! Our National Coordinator for New Zealand, Hugh’s book collects a series of blogs addressing the solutions to some of the greatest challenges of our time.  Read his blog for more on how to get your copy.
“A courageous and urgently needed book. It points to the crux of the issue: ‘We can’t solve the problems of the world with the same thinking that produced them.’ Einstein said this, and Bunzl and Duffell point the way to acting on it. This book needs to be read by just about everyone!” – Ervin Laszlo. Now available in Dutch from publisher Lemniscaat! Have you read The SIMPOL Solution yet?
Our German publisher has also just launched a campaign to finance a German edition of The SIMPOL Solution. Want to bring the gift of Simpol to Germany? Please do support the campaign
